As part of Kaupapa Whakahaere - the Operational Policy Team - the Senior Advisor Operational Privacy will help imbed privacy into our products and services, and build a privacy-aware culture across Service Delivery and Operations.

**Experience**:

- Providing operational advice to meet business and customer needs.
- Delivering business improvement and change initiatives in complex business environments.

**Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge and sound understanding of the machinery of government and of regulatory and compliance functions and purpose.

**Skills**:

- Ability to think beyond immediate issues, to consider the long-term and broader implications, and clearly identify what needs to be done.
- Can communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences using a variety of methods, written, oral and through presentations.
- Ability to work across many stakeholders on the development of process design and improvement to achieve high quality and fit for purpose solutions.
- Ability to identify risks and effective mitigation and consistently use sound judgement on complex and critical issues.
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills and the ability to work at all levels of organisations and with key external stakeholders.
- The ability to engage with specific needs of Māori and to uphold the Te Aka Taiwhenua.
- A tertiary qualification is desirable.
