**The Role**

This is a wonderful opportunity to springboard your quality career to new hights as a Quality Lead based in one of Synlait’s North Island Manufacturing sites

Reporting to the Quality Manager and with 3 direct reports, t he main responsibilities in this role include
- To provide leadership and expertise in the areas of food safety and quality to all business units,
- Emphasising on continuous improvement aligned with a ‘stretch and grow’ approach.
- Engaging, motivating and leading the quality and food safety agenda across the site.
- Ensuring all findings and conclusions are reported up and down the business structure.

Key to your success will be your ability to foster a ‘right first time’ culture; coaching and supporting the business to complete investigations into quality, compliance and regulatory issues through root cause analysis to conclusion.

**Skills and Experience**

Please be aware this role is normally a Monday to Friday role. Occasionally as per the business needs you will be required to work in the evening or on the weekend.

To be considered for this role will require
- Strong knowledge of Infant Formula Wet Mix and Base Powder Drier Manufacturing and/or strong knowledge in Infant Formula Blending & Canning Processes.
- Previous quality leadership experience including direct report management
- Capability working within the New Zealand dairy regulatory framework
- The ability to lead and conduct internal and external audits
- Proactive mindset, pride in your work and the accomplishments you achieve
