Quality Assurance Coordinator

New Zealand Health Manufacturing (NZHM) is a leading manufacturer of Dietary Supplements in New Zealand.  NZHM's Award-Winning success is due to its commitment to its customers and quality.  Our world-class manufacturing site produces Dietary Supplements for New Zealand and multiple overseas markets. Recently acquired by Nestle Health Sciences (a division of Nestle), we are looking to the future to build on our successes and expand our horizons.

This is a high-energy role, which requires the ability to communicate across all levels of the business, internally and externally. You must have a good eye for detail, be a good team player, and be a problem solver.

This role is a full-time fix-term contract working Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, afternoon shift for 12 months to cover for a team member who is on maternity leave.

The start date for this role is early January 2026

The Quality Assurance Coordinator role involves all the activities related to the implementation, support, and continuing performance of the quality department. The quality assurance team works on a rolling weekend roster, meaning you would be willing to work one Saturday in 3 months (daytime).

The role will be based in our production area (full PPE to be worn daily) and the candidate will be doing testing & sampling of products.

Role-specific tasks:

• Microbiological sampling of areas, equipment, and products, and assisting with microbial and environmental monitoring.
• Administration and maintenance of physical and electronic records of formulations, specifications, and batch documents.
• Organisation and administration of retention samples, stability samples, and controlled documents.
• Liaise with contract providers such as laboratories, calibration services, and pest control services.
• Preparation and execution of stability, process validation, and cleaning validation protocols.
• Assist with preparation for Medsafe GMP, MPI RMP, MPI TF, AQ Organic, Vegetarian/Vegan, FIANZ Halal, and customer audits and maintaining certifications.
• Assist with supplier approvals, GMP agreements, maintaining suppliers' contracts, and carrying out audits of the labs and suppliers.

What we are after:

• Qualification in Science or Food Technology is beneficial but not required
• 1-2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand is a must
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• A good level of physical fitness as there are often long periods of standing
• Strong adherence to workplace Health and Safety practices
• The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
• Excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of the importance of working to strict deadlines.
