Regional Operations Manager

**The role**
Due to an internal promotion, we have the rare opportunity for you to lead operations for our Northern region. Reporting to the GM Operations, you will provide support, mentoring, coaching, leadership and direction to the Business and Care Managers and Village Managers to empower them to achieve key strategic goals.
**What you’ll be doing**
You will be accountable for oversight of enhancing service delivery, staff satisfaction and the achievement of key strategic goal of all sites in the northern region, with a focus on upholding clinical quality and excellence in our care centres by working with our regional and Corporate Office teams. The role requires regional travel.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the development of Oceania’s strategic business plan and operational plan
- Empowering the regional team, building, and encouraging an environment that values delivering exceptional service
- Establishing and communicating business performance objectives and targets
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring performance against the region’s facility budgets
- Ensuring the revenue potential of each facility is maximised through the analysis and planning of occupancy levels, available funding versus individual clients’ care costs and PAC opportunities
- Ensuring the region meets all reporting deadlines and shares information in a timely and appropriate manner with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Recruiting and retaining suitable Village and Business and Care Managers
- Proactively promoting career pathways and progression in the business-as-usual activities across the region.
**What you’ll bring**:
You will have had extensive experience leading large, successful teams and understand how to balance the staff journey with the resident, and shareholder expectations. You’ll be a strong all-rounder with sharp intellect, professionalism, and well-developed EQ who enjoys influencing and relationship-building, with the capability to get buy-in in different ways and with different personalities. To be successful in this role, you will also have:
- Proactiveness in seeking and maximising opportunities, exceeding goals and KPIs
- Strong personal maturity with the ability to prioritise and delegate
- Industry experience is useful but not essential
- Knowledge of, and experience with, employment legislation
- Highly tuned problem solving and decision-making abilities
- A customer service ethos with the desire to improve the daily lives of our residents
- Empathy and a passion for Aged Care.
- Strong personal values that are aligned with ours
- The right to work in New Zealand.
