- Due to growth, our Auckland team is now looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Fitter to join their team to construct and maintain electrical equipment to customer requirements in a substation environment.**The role**
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be joining an experienced team and carry out maintenance and repair work on High Voltage cable assets and electrical equipment to Vector requirements within the Substation environment. Your day will include but not limited to:
- Carry out prescribed electrical work according to regulations
- Accurate record-keeping and reporting of the works undertaken
- Identify potential issues and provide effective solutions to recover from setbacks
- Conduct job scoping and Vector outage planning (HVSPEC process) with accuracy
- Assist with repair and maintenance activities and identify potential problems and solutions to recover from any setbacks

**About you**
You’ll either be an experienced Electrical Fitter or someone with strong experience in industrial or commercial electricity space and looking to become an Electrical Fitter. To be successful in this role, you will also have some or all of the following:
- Experience in Substation 11KV to 110KV in Substation Construction or Maintenance
- Preferably possess Vector competencies and experience on Vector’s 11kV RMU network
- Experience with switching Vector’s HV & LV network
- Be a registered electrician with a current practicing licence
- Able to cope with the physical demands of the job and has a strong commitment to health and safety
