You’ll be joining a small agile Engineering Enablement team that is responsible for working alongside our delivery squads to produce consistent, on-time, high quality releases that delight our customers and stakeholders.

The Release Manager will use effective communication, automation, coordination, process, and strategy, to ensure that our end-to-end release processes meet our immediate needs and align with our strategy for the future. The purpose of this role is to ensure that Gallagher Security’s release approach and release management lifecycle delivers maximum value to Gallagher and its customers.

**As part of #TeamGallagher you will**

- **Value innovation**:Open to the discovery of new and better ways of working and actively contribute to continual improvement.
- ** Be collaborative and caring**: Desire to create connections across Gallagher and be respectful of others with a desire to achieve positive outcomes for all parties. Display exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- **Understand agile practices**:Have a willingness to embrace an iterative approach, learn and practice radical candour, communicate with others to keep them informed and ensure there are no silos.
- ** Be driven by integrity**: Puts the team first and promotes “we” over “I”.
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial software development environment
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Experience coordinating release processes, improving release processes and cadences
- Working knowledge of technical skills like branch management, feature toggles, and CI/CD
- Expertise in Scripting/Programming/DevOps/Automation
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse stakeholder group
- Prior experience in release management or the release cycle for on-premise software is highly desirable

**What we offer**

You’ll be joining a responsive future focused team with a supportive, flexible work culture. It’s the culture at Gallagher that results in 94% of our people saying they are proud to work here.

We care about supporting our people to grow and learn, so we host regular development seminars, our people attend conferences, and on the job we work with customers who encourage us to push the boundaries every day. We also offer:

- Competitive salary and bonuses
- Flexible hours & hybrid work arrangements; Full trust working environment that enables you to work in whichever way best achieves positive outcomes for your team
- When you’re in the office, we have free parking, subsidised on-site café and great eateries nearby
- Discounts at medical, fitness and childcare providers, and free flu vaccinations
- Kiwisaver contribution up to 5%
- Access to our community giving programme, enabling you to do some volunteer work, ask Gallagher to donate to an organisation you’re involved in, or take part in a corporate challenge
- Plenty of fun along the way; Team building events, a company wide end-of-year Christmas function, inspiring guest speakers, and team lunches

If you want to join a family-oriented environment, described by one of our software team leaders as one where “your point of view is respected and listened to and you can really have an impact” then come and talk to us.
