**About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga**
- Permanent, part-time (0.5FTE)
As Te Kahu Tōī IWS Psychologist you will work as part of a team to understand the needs of the young person and family and implement evidence-based interventions in your areas of expertise. As part of a wraparound team, you will provide guidance and support to the team, working collaboratively with the child/young person, parents/caregivers and family/whānau, schools, agencies and local communities. Specifically, you will:
- Identify patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing, and behaviour.
- Contribute to strength-based, collaborative, team decision-making processes to meet the young person's underlying needs.
- Provide ongoing, individualised and dynamic psychological assessment and intervention.
- Support all those around the child to use evidence informed practice.
- Monitor implementation effectiveness by supporting data collection and informed decision making.
**About you | Mōhou ake**
We are looking for:
- A New Zealand Registered Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act who holds a current practicing certificate.
- Ability to contribute your specialist skills within multi-agency, trans-disciplinary settings with the child/youth at the centre of everything you do.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work effectively with children, young people and their families, teachers and other professionals across a diverse range of settings.
- Full driver’s license.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
