Heat Treatments are looking for a CNC Machinist / Operator to join their engineering workshop.
This is an amazing opportunity for the right person to join an established engineering company with great working conditions situated in Mount Roskill.
It's a business with a focus on developing its people and delivering high-quality, specialised services to its customers.
The right attitude and team-fit is more important than experience for this role. While CNC Machining experience is helpful, it's not what will make you stand out.
If you have an interest in building a career in Engineering/ Machining/ Manufacturing, are a team player, and are willing to work hard and put in effort to learn new skills or develop your current skills, then this is a great opportunity for you.
Full time work is on offer - we operate two shifts (Afternoon and Dayshift), depending on the applicant and their skill level will determine which shift is on offer.
What you must have:
- Great command in English
- A positive, can-do attitude
- A methodical, careful and tidy work ethic
- Committed and hard-working with a focus on quality
- Manufacturing or other relevant trade experience
- Ability to ask questions
- Physically fit enough to carry out manual tasks
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role and business
- Ability to work effectively on their own and within a team
- Takes initiative and ownership of their own learning (although support and training will be provided)
What would be ideal to have:
- Able to interpret and work to drawing requirements
- Familiar with basic measuring instruments (Vernier’s, micrometre’s...)
- Able to change tooling as required
- Have a basic knowledge of cutting tool geometry and inserts.
- Familiar with Fanuc controllers
More importantly, you should be a committed, reliable, hardworking individual who has the ability and initiative to learn and grow within the business.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
