**About the role**

Join Genesis Energy as an Information Security Technical Consultant - Operations and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to own and drive technical security initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape our security posture in a rapidly evolving threat environment. You'll be a key partner in delivering secure solutions and leading operational security initiatives across the organisation.
- Drive the implementation of technical security controls in alignment with Genesis technical standards.
- Provide technical consultancy and leadership to project teams, ensuring designs and implementations are secure and compliant.
- Lead security incident response, working with partners and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage and drive projects to mitigate risks and adapt to an evolving threat landscape.
- Mentor and support Information Security Analysts and operational staff.

**About you**

You are an experienced and proactive security professional with a passion for delivering secure outcomes and building strong stakeholder relationships.

You will also have;
- Extensive experience in Information Security, with hands-on IT engineering exposure.
- Strong understanding of technical security controls, protocols, and cryptography.
- Experience with SOC, data loss prevention, identity, cloud security and familiarity with CIS controls and secure configuration management.
- Effective communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
