Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Information Security Consultant
to deliver expert cybersecurity advisory, cloud security assessments, and security architecture guidance across enterprise initiatives. This role involves evaluating cloud environments, identifying risks, strengthening security posture, and ensuring alignment with organisational policies, risk appetite, and compliance obligations. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), modern security frameworks, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end cloud security consulting services including cloud risk assessments, threat modelling, architecture reviews, and security recommendations.
  • Assess cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security standards, reference architecture, and best-practice guidelines.
  • Work with solution architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to embed security controls into cloud solutions.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and roadmaps.
  • Support incident response activities relating to cloud services and investigate cloud security alerts.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including design reviews, risk reports, remediation plans, and technical security guidance.
  • Promote security-by-design and zero-trust principles across cloud programmes.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks, NZISM).

Skills & Experience
Must-Have

  • 5–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific experience in
    cloud security
    .
  • Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform:
    Azure
    ,
    AWS
    , or
    GCP
    .
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud security controls (identity, networking, encryption, logging/monitoring, key management, workload protection).
  • Experience conducting cloud security assessments, threat modelling, and architecture reviews.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native security tools (e.g., Azure Security Center/Defender, AWS Security Hub, AWS KMS, GCP Security Command Center).
  • Experience with SIEM, CSPM, vulnerability scanning, and other security tooling.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts—least privilege, role-based access control, conditional access, secrets management.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, CIS, PCI-DSS).
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
