**Te āhua o Te Tūrunga - The nature of the role**

ACC have an exciting new piece of work and are ramping up resources to assist with the planning and design phase.

The Business Consultant is responsible for developing the overall implementation plan for how the new entity/regulatory system will operate and function in practice including the detailed design of the operating model process, function, roles, policies & processes, and services. Through their expert ability to develop and maintain effective relationships, they will quickly gain credibility with senior management and a wide range of project stakeholders to negotiate the complex and often ambiguous requirements of the programme.

This is programme focused role to initially provide support to the planning, design, and implementation phases of the programme. As the programme moves from the implementation phase to operational, this role will align to the way we deliver change across the broader organisation.

Key activities will include:

- Ensure the vision, value proposition and design principles drive effective architecture and service design aligned to the strategy.
- Lead the definition and management of the operating model and design blueprint to ensure an integrated view of end-to-end customer journeys, scheme services, technology, people, and business process requirements and a clear operating model.
- Understanding of different components of a strategy and operating model and how they fit together (strategy, business model, enterprise / business architecture plus POPIT elements - People, Organisation, Process, Information and Technology components).
- Collaborate with key value stream stakeholders, specifically Customer Proposition, to design and deliver an effective operating model and ensure successful and timely delivery of new customer propositions.
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to define design principles, the future

**Ngā tino Pūkenga/Wheako - Skills & Experience Required**
- Demonstrated skills in leadership of a team, taking a highly collaborative approach and a proven track record of delivering transformation programmes preferably in a scaled Agile / digitally
- Strong relationship management skills and proven ability to influence stakeholders, including significant experience in building and leading internal and external partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong technical competencies in one or more of the following areas:

- Corporate strategy development
- Business model and operating model definition
- Business transformation
- Consolidating contact centre or service centre functions eg. enterprise-wide cost optimisation.
- Strong experience with a range of architecture frameworks and methodologies including APQC, TOGAF, BPMN, ITIL.
