We operate across the country in a range of environments from paddocks, orchards, forest, and oceans to airports, ports, transitional facilities, and corporate offices. Whether working over water, protecting our borders, or traversing our country's regions, the days are never the same.
MPI's internal Safety and Wellbeing team contribute to the promotion of our people's health, safety and wellbeing as they work in those environments. We work collaboratively as a team, implementing and maintaining organisational health and safety frameworks, and providing advice and support across MPI. We also promote practices and culture across MPI's diverse range of business areas, and embed risk management in to our HSW processes.

Mōu - About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior Adviser who can continue to promote our health safety and wellbeing practices. To do this you will need to have:
- Relevant health and safety qualifications and/or proven health, safety, and wellbeing experience working for a multi-site, complex organisation (and preferably within a high risk environment or industry)
- Experience in critical risk management and contract management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to write concise reports for Governance as required)
- The ability to work collaboratively and lead engagement with stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in training and coaching to build capability across an organisation
Additionally, you will be flexible and willing to jump in and help out when other team members are under the pump.
Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team
The wider central Health, Safety and Wellbeing team is a team of 11 with a mix of Advisers and Seniors who are really passionate about collaborating and promoting ongoing health, safety, and wellbeing across MPI. This role reports to the Manager Strategy and Assurance within a smaller team of 4 advisers.
