**The Opportunity - Te Kāinga Rua**

As a Sustainability Advisor, you'll be immersed in a dynamic organisation dedicated to driving meaningful change. Supporting our Corporate Sustainability Leaders, you'll play a crucial role in in our climate programme through data collation, analysis, tracking and reporting, as well as developing and implementing collaborative decarbonisation initiatives across the business. You'll be at the forefront of promoting awareness, enhancing our internal and external communications, and fostering behaviour change to drive emission reductions.

This role involves ensuring compliance with external commitments, including preparing GHG inventory reports, supporting Beca’s climate disclosures and Annual Report, and broader social impact reporting. You'll lead specific decarbonisation work programmes for key emissions areas, track the performance of initiatives, and support the implementation of Beca’s sustainability strategy across various business groups. Additionally, you'll engage with stakeholders, drive innovation in systems and processes, and participate in public policy and advocacy efforts.

**About You - Te Rongoāto**

As a Sustainability Advisor, you are a passionate advocate for change, working closely with diverse teams, including technical experts, business leaders, and external stakeholders. Your ability to produce high-quality outputs and foster effective stakeholder collaboration sets you apart. You excel at prioritising and proactively managing both your time and projects being delivered by others to meet tight deadlines. As a sustainability advisor, you bring valuable insights to the project team and support the implementation of sustainability initiatives effectively. You are a self-starter who can problem solve to ensure successful project outcomes.

Your expertise includes strong data management and analytics skills, preparing GHG inventory reports to ISO14064 standards, and driving decarbonisation initiatives. You have experience in project management including tracking the performance of business initiatives within a programme of work, and reporting progress to governance groups. Ideally you also have experience of climate-related disclosures and understanding of international and New Zealand frameworks.

Your confident style of communication enable you to clearly convey technical requirements and sustainability goals to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This enables you to proactively, drive project outcomes for yourself, the Team and Beca’s clients.
