We are looking for an experienced
**Site Manager** to join our senior management team. You will manage our New Zealand manufacturing plant operations.

Daily, you will monitor and evaluate the manufacturing plant operating performance and ensure all policies are followed. You will research new business opportunities, systems and tools, and lead budget decisions. To succeed in this role, it’s essential to have extensive experience in the pet food/food manufacturing industry with a proven track record in plant/operations leadership and strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.

Overall, through this role, you will help us develop our NZ Manufacturing plant strategy and growth.

**About the Role**:
**Job Objective**:The Site Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee Addiction Foods New Zealand Plant operations activities, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization. This involves oversees production by working directly with and providing leadership to supervision in the following departments:
**Manufacturing or Operations, Engineering and Maintenance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Project Management, Quality, and New Product Development.**

**Reporting Structure**:Directly reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

**Location**: The role is based in our Manufacturing Plant in the Bay of Plenty New Zealand.

**What you will work on (Key Duties/Responsibilities)**
- Define and implement NZ plant operations strategy, structure, and processes
- Develop and meet goals in collaboration with executive leadership
- Improve and streamline plant operations processes and use of resources and materials
- Oversee plant operations and monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions
- Empower department managers and leaders to execute plant operations while maintaining a working knowledge of all phases of it.
- Establishes and administers the plant budget.
- Provide regular plant performance updates to the senior leadership team.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
- Promote worker safety, growth, and development.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the plant.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations to direct reports.

**Who you are (Key Qualifications)**

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management/Operations, Engineering, or other industry-related field required; MBA preferred.
- At least 10 years of extensive and progressive industry-related experience including at least three (3) years plant/operations leadership experience as GMs (or higher), a VP/Director of Production or COO role with experience as the final escalation point in crises is required
- Must have a proven track record of successfully leading multiple projects within a manufacturing environment.
- An expert in hands-on operations management, motivated by executing repeated processes on time, on budget, and at quality in a high-tech environment.
- An experienced business leader, able to leverage a deep understanding of the P&L and budgetary processes.
- A champion of food safety compliance with deep knowledge of best practices around quality assurance and control.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the pet food/food manufacturing industry.
- Must have sound knowledge and a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
- Must possess strong facilitation, encouragement, motivation, and inspirational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
- Must work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with constant interruptions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
