**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
The key purpose of this leadership role is to is to manage the Auckland Transport Owner Interface with City Rail Link Limited and to ensure a seamless interface between the different partners (CRLL, KiwiRail and Link Alliance) representing AT on the ground.
The role will systematically deputize for the Head of CRL Delivery when they are unable to attend key internal or external meetings, and to act as senior leader of the team on their behalf during planned and unplanned leaves.
The role operates in a highly exposed and very complex contractual environment. The project sponsors are the Mayor of Auckland and two Cabinet Ministers, driving a high level of scrutiny by Boards and Executives of local government and Crown agencies.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of a team of 4 owner interface leads.
- Confirming and align on the technical requirements, minimum requirements, and scope for the project or program of works or services.
- Serving as a single point of contact for the internal stakeholders within the AT organisation.
- Providing a greater knowledge of wider issues and deeper understanding of the implications for AT to CRL Limited and the partners.
- Championing the project, dealing with client decision-making bodies including internal governance, board, and other governance activities.
**Ko koe tēnei | About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 15 years' post graduate experience in Infrastructure delivery or related area and minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role in a complex local or central government environment with high public visibility.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in rail and public transport.
- High level of business acumen including experience in managing large budgets.
- A proven leader with influencing ability and credibility at senior and executive level with a range of external stakeholders. Is widely trusted and seen as a direct and truthful individual.
- Constructive leader, inspires others and demonstrates leadership across the company, irrespective of functional area.
- Good understanding of, and ability to apply, safety in investigation, design, construction project stages including relevant Health & Safety regulations and legislation.
- Creative problem solver and influencer that can garner the commitment of external and internal stakeholders at all levels of an organisation within a changing and evolving environment.
- Highly organised - self-starter, plans and prioritises well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities.
