We have an excellent opportunity for an operationally focused and driven individual to join our Downer Wellington team as the Traffic Operations Manager, reporting to the Wellington Traffic Manager. This is a focal leadership role within the business where you will lead Traffic Operations across the Wellington region to be productive, commercially driven, and provide traffic management services to both internal and external customers across the region.

This is a people leadership role with a high commitment to mentoring and growth of direct reports and the wider Wellington region Operational Traffic Management team. You will also be responsible for:

- Ensuring cost effective delivery of Temporary Traffic management services
- Develop initiatives for enhancing delivery of TM operations through efficient procedure management and system awareness
- Build knowledge and capability within teams to manage Zero HarmWork closely with the National TTM Professional Services team to ensure TMP’s are completed and delivered as required

As an experienced Traffic Operations Manager, you will bring a wealth of experience in leading teams and navigating unexpected events, allowing you to provide clear and effective direction to your team. Along with this you will:

- Have 2 years of management experience with a proven track record of leading multiple teams of people
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Traffic Management industry in a supervisory position
- Current STMS A/B/C - NP/P Warrant would be desirable
- You must hold a Full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s LicenseProven skills and experience that demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of traffic management risk and operational risk management
