Our Transport Infrastructure business includes a large and long established roads maintenance and construction division. We count amongst our clients some of the biggest transport organisations in New Zealand and have contracts and teams spread over a wide geographical area. We have a very strong reputation in roads maintenance and construction and our team includes some of the most experienced roading experts in the New Zealand. This is also an area of our business which is targeted for significant growth over the coming years.

**THE ROLE**

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our Traffic Management team and to grow and develop this division. Your key responsibilities will include financial management, developing the business, liaising with clients, health and safety management, and overall management of the Traffic Management crew.

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful in this role you will need a strong understanding of safe traffic management in the roads maintenance and construction environment. You will also need demonstrable strength in people and performance management, and the ability to train, mentor and develop staff. Advanced stakeholder management skills will allow you to engage with project managers and other internal and external stakeholders who are connected to the Traffic Management function. You will also need demonstrable influencing and collaboration capabilities to deliver solutions that meet both legal compliance and are in the best interests of business performance. You will need demonstrated problem solving skills developed in the roading environment so you can assess a variety of site situations and respond with an appropriate traffic management plan.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Proven experience in leading and driving the performance of both permanent staff members and external consultants
- Significant management experience preferably in TTM but not required
- Proven experience and ability in financial management.
- Familiarity with HSE practices within the TTM industry
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
