Looking for a hands-on job where you can help keep things running smoothly and do your bit for the environment? We’re on the lookout for a motivated **Operator** to join our awesome team at the West Auckland Resource Recovery Transfer Station.

**About the role**
In this role, you’ll play a key part in sorting, collecting, and disposing of waste and recyclables, helping make sure our operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with our commitment to our customers and community.

No two days will be the same: one moment you’ll be helping customers with their drop-offs, the next you’ll be operating machinery or keeping the site looking its best. It’s a varied role where you’ll stay active, work with a great crew, and make a real difference.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Keep an eye on where waste and recyclables are placed, helping customers get it right.
- Operate onsite plant and equipment (if required)
- Direct traffic on site and share info with customers
- Look after the site, keeping buildings, grounds, roadways, and landscaping neat, tidy, and safe.
- Pitch in with general labouring tasks when needed (we’re all about teamwork here).
- Assist with basic admin, like completing records and paperwork as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in the waste industry or production line work (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Minimum of Class 1 driver's license with wheels (W) and tracks (T) endorsements.
- Mechanical Aptitude (desirable)
- Good awareness of safety
- Demonstrate a high quality of service
