**About the role**
We’re keen to enlist some trailblazing conductors of change to join our mission towards the true convergence of technology, sustainability, and customer focus. We’re looking for highly skilled and motivated software developers, so if you’re an associate or intermediate level Java developer with ambitions to build high volume platforms on AWS and want to make a real difference globally with your eye on something challenging, this role is for you.

You'll learn from and be inspired by our team of software developers in our energy revolution; you’ll build software in Java primarily but also gain experience with a frontend frameworks/typescript and infrastructure automation with CloudFormation/Terraform. You’ll grow in your role and in your career. You’ll collaborate with leading global partners such as Amazon to build valuable software systems for a global customer base. You’ll be determined and positive in driving business engagement and prioritisation to help deliver meaningful business value.

This role can be based either in Auckland or Wellington. If Wellington, travel to Auckland once quarterly would be required.

**Who we are looking for**
- You’ll have at least 1 year’s dev experience, either frontend or backend
- You’ll have experience in at least one programming language and web framework (ie Java, Springboot framework, ReactJS, Mobile Application development)
- You’ll have a sound understanding of programming best practices (object-oriented programming principles - SOLID design principles), and understand the benefit of Behaviour-Driven Development and Test-Driven Development
- You’ll collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
