**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has an exciting opportunity for an Advisor with experience in developing training and expanding capability to join our Data, Strategy and Knowledge branch.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about growing capability of our people, keen to get involved in challenging initiatives, and wants to work across a large, varied organization. Your work week will be varied but rewarding and fast paced.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of a range of learning approaches to develop an ongoing programme of learning.

**In this role you will**:

- Design and develop learning content
- Manage the creation and curation of data and information learning
- Review existing training offerings on a regular cycle
- Manage and champion data culture change across the organization
- Engage with users and leadership to identify and scope learning needs.

What does Level 1 mean in practical terms?

The Data Strategy and Knowledge branch recently implemented standardized job family and create a clear progression process through roles. There are four levels in our Data and Information family making it easier progress your career. The roles are: Advisor, Senior Advisor (Level 1), Senior Advisor (Level 2) Principal Advisor. As a Senior Advisor Level 1 based in the Capability team, you will grow your career in a nimble and close-knit environment reporting to the Manager Capability. You will contribute to initiatives to solve MBIE challenges, champion the smart use of data as we grow the Ministry’s maturity in data and knowledge and provide new and innovative ways for our people to grow their data and information capability.

- Experience designing and developing engaging online learning content using Articulate Rise
- The ability to take technical information and translate it into plain English
- An understanding of developing and delivering current learning techniques and practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage across the organization
- Strong writing, editing and oral communication skills
