This role will suit someone keen to move to an in-house role working in an agile, energising environment in a supportive & collaborative team This is an Auckland or Wellington based hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week in the office and the ability to work flexibly for the remainder. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Head of Legal - Corporate & Enterprise Services (who you'd report to), and he let us know the following about the role: What are some day-to-day tasks the role will be responsible for? Delivering appropriate legal support and advice to BNZ in relation to: - Contracts with suppliers and our parent company (National Australia Bank)- Key business relationships, joint ventures, and other commercial arrangements- Fintech and payments- BNZ Finance and Treasury matters- Policies, procedures, and effective governance- Compliance with, and the impact and implementation of, laws and regulations What is the team culture and environment like? To be successful is this role you must have: - 4+ years’ post-qualification legal experience- New Zealand legal experience at a reputable law firm and/or corporate, preferably in banking & financial services- Currently enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
