**What you’ll be doing...**:
The Senior Manager - Strategic Programmes will be responsible for overseeing and managing cross-functional areas of product development. This position serves an essential liaison between the Senior Management, Product Management, UI design, Development, Operations and Architecture teams.

In partnership with the Programme Delivery Manager and Technical Project Manager, the Senior Manager - Strategic Programmes will manage all aspects of the strategic programme portfolio through the full software development lifecycle.

They need to be able to work across the organisation to influence the right behaviours and win support for the project and process changes required to meet the company’s goals. This role offers strong personal and professional growth opportunities to the right person, where they will be able to have a real impact on the organization

Job Responsibilities:

- Planning short-, mid-, long-term project/programmes’ objectives and identifying interdependencies.
- Developing, maintaining, tracking, and managing a high-quality, integrated project plan to enable accurate reporting and decision making.
- Assessing program issues and areas of risk and developing mitigation plans to assist in decision making.
- Identifying critical path issues and alternative plan scenarios.
- Identifying resource needs to achieve program objectives.
- Using strong project and organizational knowledge, leadership and active facilitation to enable effective team meetings and high-performance teams.
- Working closely with team members from contributing functions to integrate input into optimized strategic and operational plans.
- Communicating effectively with team members, senior leaders, and the broader organization.
- Keeping senior management and key stakeholders informed of project status and escalating issues when they impact timeline, scope, quality or budget.
- Contributing to the functional excellence of project management by participation in the development and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and tools related to program and portfolio management practices.

You’ll need to have:

- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.Strong Project Management & Programme Delivery experience, preferably in a SaaS engineering environment.
- Proven experience in Lean/Agile development methodologies and managing complex projects in an Agile environment.
- Strong commercial and business acumen. Exceptional reporting skills.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of work across multiple projects and teams and scheduling staff across multiple projects, managing schedules and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, managing teams and processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, enabling successful collaboration with executive level stakeholders.
- Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound judgement, problem solving, and collaboration in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional or horizontally aligned teams.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

- Experience of SaaS based environments.
- PMI / PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience in different SDLC methodologies.
- Experience working in a sales-driven organisation.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle and a background in enterprise level project management.
- Agile mindset and innovative thinker. Demonstrates a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action.
- High level of professionalism and organizational skills. Has the ability to work under pressure to achieve
