**Job Description**:
Our Civil Engineering Team is looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer with a pavement design background to join our New Zealand business. This role will present you with a great opportunity to regularly work with AECOM’s Australia and New Zealand teams. You will be participating in major road, highway, port and airport designs and constructions. The role will include collaborating with major stakeholders such as Waka Kotahi - NZTA, local and State authorities and the key airports across ANZ such as Christchurch, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney airports.
In this role you will have the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as well as experiencing the entire project lifecycle from inception to planning, design and construction. You will also be given the opportunity to be present on site, witness and supervise building your design.
The salary range for this Senior level role is between $102-$120,000 dependent on skills and experience.
**The day to day responsibilities will include**:
- Undertake pavement designs for roads, ports and airports
- Assist with developing relevant design and construction documentations such as design report, technical specification and construction drawing

- Assist with identifying new business opportunities and pro-actively keeping abreast with developments in chosen area of technical interest
- Manage and deliver projects including managing resources, budgets and timelines and enhancing client and working relationships
- Support junior team members to develop their technical capabilities
- Provide construction supervision
- If required to travel to various worksites and stakeholder meetings across New Zealand
**About You**
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Client focused (both internal and external clients)
- Experienced in pavement inspection and design
- Familiar with Austroads and Waka Kotahi - NZTA design documentations
- Experienced in using pavement design software such as CIRCLY,
- Experience in airport and port designs will be advantageous
- Being familiar with Autocad and 3D design packages such 12D, OpenRoads, Infraworks, Projectwise and past MX or Inroads experience will be viewed as extremely beneficial
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate time management and organisational skills
- Collaborative; willing to share knowledge, experience, ideas and expertise for the betterment of group and self
- Diligent and able to work consistently to deadlines under tight time frames
- High-level problem-solving skills and judgement capability
- A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment
- Demonstrate experience in performing site-based construction monitoring roles (Engineering New Zealand CM4 and CM5)
**Qualifications**:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Chartered or professional member of relevant professional body, or working towards PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineer or similar
