Sulco Ltd, has been in business for more than 50 years and offers the widest range of specialised automotive and mechanical hand tools and automotive workshop equipment available from any one supplier in NZ. We offer timely solutions and complete back up after sales service.
**About the Role**
In this role you will be ideally based on the road, delivering within the Auckland region. Products are sold directly from our mobile sales van with the support of our customer service team in Manukau. As the main point of contact for our key customers, you will ensure their account is well looked after, assisting them with all of their product/ordering needs and ensuring that we provide a level of service superior to our competitors
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in this role you will have proven sales and account management experience and enjoy working towards KPI's and targets. Our clients are experienced automotive trades professionals, so experience or an interest in the automotive industry is essential. Building relationships will come naturally to you, as well as the ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Proven success previously in a sales and/or account management role
- Mechanically minded with an understanding of the industry/In-depth knowledge around aftermarket parts and products
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and discuss & relay technical information
- An ability to prioritise and organise your workload to ensure efficiency at all times
- High work ethic and a determination to drive sales
**Role Purpose**
To actively contribute to the profitability, growth and return on investment for Sulco Tools & Equipment by providing superior customer service which satisfies and exceeds the needs and expectations of our customers within a designated territory, whilst adhering to company policy and statutory legislation
**Requirements for The Role**:
- Require a NZ Full licence, with a completely clean driving record
- The ability to stand for long periods of time, and the ability to lift objects weighing 15kg plus
- Proven sales rep experience, and experience in the tool industry
- Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain customer relationships
**Territory Management**
- Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and actively identify new customers to generate new business opportunities for the company
- Collaborate with other GPC companies to maintain market share
- Prepare and implement a sales itinerary outlining activities to be completed each week
- Develop and maintain a call schedule for all customers outlining actions to be followed up
- Ensure customer profiles are developed and maintained on all existing accounts
- Ensure stock levels at customer locations are at the required level
- Manage and sell product samples to customers, ensuring all sales orders are processed correctly
- Inform customers of all current promotions and sell products during promotional period
**Sales and Service**:
- Maximise sales performance of your nominated territory by providing superior customer service to all customers in a professional manner
- Ensure customer complaints are handled in a professional manner, and as a matter of urgency, resulting in a positive experience for the customer
- Ensure customer expectations are met
- Ensure each customer receives accurate and efficient service
**Reporting and Administration**:
- Report weekly to your Manager regarding competitor activity, business gain/loss, additional sales opportunities and store service deficiencies
- Review computer sales reports monthly with your Manager
- Maximise sales growth through analysing relevant reports to monitor the territory’s performance
- Manage actual performance results against projected budgets
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administration and documentation required by the business
- Ensure trade accounts are maintained within terms. Proactively manage to maximise ongoing sales
- Assisting in debtor management
- Proactively manage warranty claims
