Are you a confident, energetic and experienced administration support person looking to use your skills, expertise and common sense in a busy, friendly, educational environment? We are looking for a part-time administrator to provide support to our HR and payroll functions based at our attractive offices in Grafton. This is a part-time role (15 hours per week) with some flexibility to negotiate how these hours are work.
This is a role with variety to keep you busy and challenged so you need to be well-organised and prepared to be flexible. You’ll need to be confident handling sensitive information, communicating with a range of stakeholders, and staying on top of multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion. Key responsibilities include supporting recruitment processes, staff onboarding and offboarding, payroll data entry and checking, compliance documentation, and maintaining accurate personnel records.
About You
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Strong attention to detail - accuracy is essential in this role
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
A team-focused mindset - willing to pitch in and support others
Experience in HR or payroll administration is desirable but not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn

Northern Health School is a unique and compassionate learning environment dedicated to supporting students who are too unwell to attend their regular school. School management and administration is predominantly based in Auckland with other school locations in centres throughout the North Island from Kaitaia to Gisborne, Taupo and Taranaki.

A full clean New Zealand driving licence and police check are necessary for this role.

**We have two tasks**:
Support student learning
Assist students to return to their regular school as their health allows
We are one of three New Zealand health schools providing community and hospital based teaching to school aged students who are too unwell to attend their regular school.
