Mō te tūnga | About the role
Working as part of the Central Region Development PP+C Team, the Development Co-ordinator ensures that all learning offerings are fully supported, by acting as the first point of contact and organising facilitation, venue, and participants.
They are the credible and proactive face of learning and development across the Region maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
**You'll also**:
- Prepare and maintain the Regional Capability schedule to ensure that all learning offerings are fully supported.
- Maintain up-to-date information accurately on learning offerings in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure all external providers and facilitators to regional venues receive a health and safety induction covering relevant emergency procedures and site information, and that external providers are inducted into prison sites in a timely manner.
- Maintain an asset register for all Regional Development team equipment, as well as learning materials, stationary and any other required resources. Ensure that cost savings are made where possible ensuring the quality of the delivery/service is not impacted.
- Prepare regular management reports and present information on the progress of learning solutions, including interpretation and explanation of results from LMS.
- Monitor and report on issues and risks relating to the delivery of learning approached providing practical solutions.
- Organise meetings, flights and accommodation for members of the Development team as required.
- Organise invoicing, bill payments and contract management for Regional and National suppliers via SAP/SRM systems.
- Other administrative tasks related to the day to day running of the Development team.
- Establish and maintain effective working relations with National Learning Centre staff, Regional and National Offices, as well as relevant contacts in the region regarding maintenance of facilities.

The knowledge, skills and experience required to undertake the role successfully, includes:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrate success in building and maintaining positive working relationships - strong service focus on the internal customer; proactive and responsive to customer needs; and willing to use own initiative.
- Self-management and prioritisation; able to manage own time effectively to manage multiple tasks and achieve expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and prioritise high volumes of work.
- Good accuracy and attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience working within a complex and diverse business environment.
- Detailed understanding of Learning and Development solutions / platforms nationally.
- Ability to cope under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams). Strong Excel skills are preferred.
- Ability to influence and inspire others through conversations using data and analysis as the basis for change

You will have a current full driver licence.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The mid point of the salary range is $60,007. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
