Night Supervisor Transitional Housing

Fixed Term until June 2027, 37.5 hours per week, Napier

We are looking for a Night Supervisor Transitional Housing to join our whānau at Te Whare Whānau Pūrotu – Māori Women's Refuge.

About the Role:

The Night Supervisor will provide after-hours support to residing clients on a case-by-case basis and will further ensure the safety of clients by following security measures and is accountable for the location of residing clients between the hours of your shift ensuring that house rules are followed and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to any event that may occur overnight and follow appropriate policies and procedures
  • Ensure residing clients are located and accounted for between the hours of your shift as stipulated in their occupancy agreement
  • Provide appropriate information and support to clients and colleagues
  • Write factual and timely formal records
  • Comply with Policies & Procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in social services, residential programmes, or security strongly preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and cultural humility
  • Excellent time management and organisation
  • Clean full NZ driver's licence is essential
