About the Team
The Historic Claims team is a dedicated group of professionals who are passionate about supporting claimants who have been abused in State care. We work collaboratively to deliver exceptional outcomes, leveraging our collective expertise to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate information requests from claimants, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Conduct assessments of claims against the Historic Claims framework, providing recommendations to support decision-making
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes for claimants
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of client needs, concerns, and priorities

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience
- Good knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Privacy Act
- Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and logical reasoning
