Job Description

This role applies significant expertise and influencing skills to lift the information and intelligence capabilities of the organisation as well as driving the future state of Kāinga Ora's Business Intelligence applications.

The key to this role is achieving capability uplift in mentoring colleagues throughout the broader Information and Analytics community by using cloud-based data platforms to increase information literacy across all business units.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise with BI tools, especially Snowflake, Coalesce, Oracle databases, ODI, OAC, Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake's secure data sharing and role-based access controls with performance tuning, including Query optimisation, clustering, and warehouse sizing.
  • Experience in designing scalable data warehouse solutions using Dimensional modelling, Star Schema or Data Vault.
  • Expertise in Analytics techniques and languages like SQL, Python.
  • Experience in setting up DevOps practices, including automation, version control, deployment and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms, i.e. AWS, Azure and Snowflake integration with these.
