Senior Program Assistant

At Benchmark Senior Living, we strive to provide a supportive environment for our residents to thrive. The Programming/Activity Assistant plays a critical role in this effort.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging programs that meet the unique needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with the Activity Director to plan and execute activities that promote socialization, entertainment, and personal growth.
- Foster a sense of community among residents by supporting and encouraging their independent activity pursuits.
- Stay up-to-date on residents' preferences, abilities, and interests to tailor activities accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and optimal care.
- Identify and report any concerns or changes in residents' behavior or condition to the Harbor Care Director.
- Holds a high school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
- Possesses training and knowledge in recreational activities, including those suitable for seniors with dementia.
- Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration with residents, families, and staff.
- Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' autonomy.
