About the Role

The Student Interest and Conflict Resolution Adviser will provide guidance and assistance to students and staff on student safety, behavioural risk, interpersonal conflict, and other student concerns. They will gather and assess information to resolve concerns, complaints, and conflicts involving students at the earliest possible level.

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent conflicts and promote positive relationships among students and staff.
  • Provide training and educational sessions under the direction of the Manager to enhance the skills of colleagues and students.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student issues and interventions.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting students and staff in areas of student safety, behavioural risk, interpersonal conflict, and other student concerns.
  • Gathering and assessing information to ensure that concerns, complaints, and conflicts involving students are resolved at the earliest possible level.
  • Undertaking complex case and complaints management, behavioural risk assessment, and interventions to support behaviour change.
  • Responding to sexually harmful behaviours and providing facilitation and conflict resolution where necessary.
