About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Hydraulic Modeller Senior to join our team. As a key member of our Modelling group, you will be responsible for performing hydraulic modelling for land development enquiries and network planning for future growth.

You will contribute to the management of 3 Waters asset data and take the lead on resolving complex issues, reviewing work and providing support and technical guidance to others.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and operate wastewater hydraulic models
  • Support the growth agenda with respect to water infrastructure, planning, and network performance
  • Initiate strategies and policies for urban development and civil engineering practice
  • Contribute to the development of operations and capital expenditure proposals
  • Upskill and mentor less experienced colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Engineering or Science)
  • At least 10 years experience in hydraulic modelling, ideally using InfoWorks ICM
  • A background in the design of drainage and water infrastructure solutions
  • Experience in assessing land development proposals and GIS
  • An awareness of Resource Management Act and Building Act processes
