Wellington Water is seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our Treatment & Control Systems Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing the process reliability for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants managed by our group.

In this role, you will:

  • Optimize treatment plant processes to manage resource use in a sustainable way.
  • Develop recommendations to improve process efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct regular process reviews and asset condition assessments.
  • Ensure equipment and systems are operating at maximum efficiency.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant subject area such as Chemical / Water Engineering or other related science / engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years experience in process engineering, ideally in the water and wastewater sector.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and network processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to stakeholders.
