Caregiver Support Specialist

At IHC New Zealand, we believe in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their best lives.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping people develop their independence and acquire skills for daily living.
This includes assisting with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, Support Workers may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.

We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude and is willing to learn.
Requirements:- Previous experience working within the disability sector or aged care
- A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts
- Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support
- Full NZ driver's license
