Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to fill the position of Recovery Support Specialist within our Rotorua-based Opioid Treatment Service. As an Addictions Peer Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing emotional support and guidance to clients navigating addiction recovery
- Facilitating connections between clients and their whānau and natural support networks
- Aiding clients in developing skills and strategies for independent living
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain (if not already completed) an accredited New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and Intensive Peer Support Training
- Cultural competence and understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
