Job Responsibilities

AFFCO Horotiu invites applications for a Service Engineer position at their Hamilton-based plant. As a valued member of our team, you will oversee the daily operation of all refrigeration and cooling appliances and related equipment based on site.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring boiler performance, freezer defrosting, and water treatment;
  • Ensuring all electrical components and seals meet business standards;
  • Managing equipment breakdowns and repair issues;
  • Conducting regular system testing and adjustments for optimal efficiency;
  • Maintaining Health & Safety protocols for personal and team safety.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Service Engineering;
  • Significant experience in operating large cool stores;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with servicing complex manufacturing facilities;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • Commitment to Health & Safety standards;
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts.
