About the Role
We are looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team at Tangram. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.

Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is a critical role within our organization, and we are seeking someone who is highly motivated and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, preferably with experience working with industrial equipment. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Ensure the general running, servicing, and repair of Plant and Machinery.
  2. Participate in the maintenance and operation of the site.
  3. Perform diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to figure out problems with machinery or equipment.
  4. Disassemble machinery or equipment when there is a problem, then repair or replace any broken or malfunctioning parts.
  5. Test the machine or run an initial batch to ensure that the machine is running properly.
  6. Assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
  7. Adjust and calibrate equipment or machinery as per specifications.
  8. Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery - this needs to be planned to ensure minimal disruption of processes.
  9. Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
  10. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected issues with equipment.
  11. Respond to alerts and carry out corrective procedures and repairs in line with SOPs and maintenance protocols.
  12. Keep all documentation of both routine checks and repairs up-to-date and in line with both internal and external procedures.
  13. Maintain logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system.
  14. May be involved in the training of production staff on routine maintenance procedures.
  15. May also be required to keep a stock of spare parts, ordering and replacing as necessary.


Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Preferably 1+ years experience in relevant occupation OR relevant qualification, but not compulsory.
  • We accept any candidates who have minimal industrial experience and are willing to learn.
  • Friendly, with good time management, & excellent work ethic are essential.
  • Time management skills.
  • A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
  • Sound knowledge of H and S procedures.
