About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Physician to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes.

As a Palliative Care Physician, you will work closely with patients, whānau, and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care and improve the quality of life for individuals with life-limiting conditions.

You will be responsible for working across various acute inpatient services, ambulatory services, clinics, hospice, and patient's homes. Your role will involve developing specialist services to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and culturally diverse population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist palliative care services to people experiencing life-limiting conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
  • Pursue opportunities for education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
