Auckland Council is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Support Officer to join their team at the Auckland CBD office. This full-time permanent role reports directly to the Team Leader.

In this role, you will utilise your administrative skills to provide process support, ensuring the smooth running of our end-to-end consenting processes for our building consent department. You will be part of our hardworking and supportive team environment, focused on delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the team in processing consenting applications for Building Consents
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
  • Manage regulatory consent data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to financial disputes, invoicing, and regulatory applications, ensuring satisfactory customer outcomes

To succeed in this role, you will need to be system savvy, able to easily adapt to new technology, and have previous experience in administration. Your excellent communication skills will help you excel in this customer-focused role. A proactive nature along with your great attention to detail and understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) will strengthen your application. Having a good understanding of building legislation and previous SAP experience would make your application stand out.

Requirements:
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 4 years of previous experience in a business administration and Customer Service role
  • Confidence in working with complex databases and information
  • Experience managing financial account reconciliations & Customer disputes
