Geospatial Analyst Position

At Electricity Engineers' Association, we are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and be proficient in ESRI technologies.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and maintaining GIS and asset data, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness through regular quality control checks. They will also generate maps, charts, and reports to visualise results and effectively communicate findings to internal customers.
The role requires the ability to perform spatial analysis and modelling to address geographic challenges and generate actionable insights to achieve our business objectives. Additionally, the successful candidate will create and automate GIS tools, scripts, and workflows, integrating ESRI mobile applications with Python and FME to improve operational efficiency.
The position involves planning and executing field data collection activities using GPS/GNSS equipment and mobile mapping technologies, verifying and updating existing GIS data. The successful candidate will also manage and support the deployment of mobile apps to field personnel and provide technical support on GIS-related issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, and data connectivity problems.
We are looking for an experienced professional who has a tertiary qualification in GIS, Engineering, Geography, Surveying, IT, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in the GIS industry. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in GIS analysis, ESRI technologies, visualisation, data transformations with FME and Python, and interpreting and maintaining as-built information in GIS.
