Parkerbridge, a leading commercial property owner in Auckland, invites applications for a dynamic role as Senior Financial Accountant. This rare opportunity within a close-knit environment offers a pivotal position where you can make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero and other relevant systems to ensure seamless data management.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting, to drive business growth.
  • Manage tenant relationships for financial purposes, including responding to queries and debtor reporting, to foster strong partnerships.
  • Coordinate month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial reports, to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, providing assurance for stakeholders.
  • Lead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Provide general support across the business as part of a small Head Office team, contributing to a collaborative culture.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns for review, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Manage payables/creditor processes and payroll, streamlining financial operations.
  • Lead annual tenant opex wash-ups and budgets, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Prepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Provide strategic input into the direction of the Group alongside senior management, shaping the future of the organization.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile, driving value creation.

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualification essential.
  • 6+ years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, with a proven track record.
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial modeling, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards, tax compliance, and organisational procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Xero and/or Re-Leased preferred, showcasing adaptability and a willingness to learn.
