**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at Bupa Tararu Care Home. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in promoting social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation for our residents.

In this permanent part-time role, you will work an average of 24 hours per week on a rotating six-week roster. This will include three full weekends (Saturday and Sunday), two weekends with a single weekend shift (either Saturday or Sunday), and one full weekend off.

You will be responsible for identifying the leisure activities of each resident based on their interests, preferences, and abilities, and coordinating an activities programme that meets their needs.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar healthcare setting, along with an interest in and understanding of the elderly and their needs. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity plans that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
  • Lead and support a team of activities assistants
  • Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity
