We are seeking two permanent senior communications professionals and two six-month fixed-term communications advisors to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies to support various portfolios and functions within the ministry. This role will involve managing media relationships, building strong working relationships with senior managers, ministers' offices, and subject matter experts, and providing proactive and strategic advice to support the delivery of high-profile ministerial announcements and other communications initiatives.
Key Requirements- At least five years of experience in creating and delivering internal and/or external communications strategies and supporting material
- Proven ability to think on your feet, work under pressure, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver comprehensive communications strategies
- Sound understanding of central government decision-making and operating procedures
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with senior managers, ministers' offices, and subject matter experts
- Ability to use deep experience in issues and risk management, proactive engagement, and communications planning to drive business results
