About the Job: As a Teletriage Registered Nurse at Sonder, you will play a key role in our 24/7 support centre, providing telephone and messenger-based screenings to evaluate medical and mental health concerns of our members. You will assess member conditions, prioritise care, make appropriate referrals, and perform critical follow-ups under the guidance of our Medical Director and Clinical Leadership team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing telephone and messenger-based screenings to evaluate medical and mental health concerns
  • Determining the urgency and criticality of member conditions to facilitate appropriate referrals
  • Coordinating with mental health services, emergency services, and other healthcare facilities as needed
  • Making necessary appointments on behalf of members and ensuring continuous care by working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Providing referrals to counselling and partner services according to member needs
  • Carrying out follow-up calls to evaluate the need for further assistance and support continuity of care

Our Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, with experience in Emergency and Triage trained, Telehealth or Critical Care (ICU) is highly desirable
  • Proven problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Local knowledge of the New Zealand Healthcare system
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of working independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept in both written and verbal exchanges
  • A high level of self-motivation and proactive in enhancing personal performance
  • Confidence in using technology platforms and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Current registration with the NZ Nursing Council
