About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Cardiology ward as a Charge Nurse. You will be accountable for nursing professional and practice standards, ensuring nursing staff safely and effectively meet the clinical nursing care needs of patients and their family/whanau.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Lead and manage the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
  • New Zealand nursing registration, RGON, RN BHSc (Nursing).
  • Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice.
  • Minimum of five years' experience post-registration in relevant nursing specialty.
  • Expert clinical practice and sound understanding of professional ethics.
