**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Older Persons Health at Burwood Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will have the opportunity to refine your skills and develop your career in healthcare.

**About the Department**

The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient-focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus. We are committed to providing excellent care to our patients and achieving the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of treatment plans and supervising exercise programmes as delegated by the Physiotherapist
  • Deliver and set up equipment across the hospital
  • Supervise exercise programmes in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Assist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmes
  • Assist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one-to-one rehabilitation treatment

Requirements:

  • Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator
  • The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settings
  • Basic computer skills essential
  • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health
  • Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health is a requirement, A qualification in any health field would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of safe manual handling processes
  • Full NZ drivers licence essential with the ability to drive a manual car
