Job DescriptionThis is a full-time, permanent position, covering the services across Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. The Nurse Leader role is responsible for providing advanced professional leadership and management to the nursing workforce in Mental Health and Addiction Services across the district. You will lead the delivery of Systems of Care and contribute to improving health outcomes for Maori. You will progress workforce development initiatives, work in partnership with the Business Leader, Clinical Director, and Chief Nursing Officer, and lead and support clinical excellence through evidence-based nursing practice.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need a relevant Masters qualification, significant experience in Maori health delivery, implementation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, significant experience in Nursing leadership, significant Mental Health experience, personal resilience in times of system-wide change, and strong negotiating skills to engage collaboratively with internal and external partners across the sector. Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, developing and implementing strategic plans, and driving continuous quality improvement. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. They will also have a deep understanding of the health sector, with a particular focus on mental health and addiction services. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. They will have a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the importance of cultural safety in healthcare.
