About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team of allied health professionals in providing best-practice service to our patients. The role involves overseeing daily operations, developing strategies for improvement, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Flexibility is key, as our outpatient services are based in various locations across the region.

The position is based at Tauranga Hospital and is a permanent part-time arrangement with 32 hours per week. As a registered allied health professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of physiotherapists and other allied health professionals
  • Developing and implementing service plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Maintaining high-quality care standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership or management position within the healthcare sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Competency in te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly in healthcare settings
