About the Role: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Clinical Administrator to join our team at Waitaha Canterbury. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring efficient booking practices and supporting patient flow in line with Ministry of Health (MoH) targets and Waitaha Canterbury standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Booking and scheduling preadmission clinic appointments and elective inpatient admissions
  2. Coordinating operating lists and maintaining the waiting list
  3. Maintaining accurate and timely patient records within the Patient Management System (SI PICS)
  4. Providing excellent customer service to patients, clinicians, and external stakeholders
  5. Ensuring all bookings align with clinical priorities and MoH guidelines

About You:

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to quickly learn and navigate data systems
  • Team player with a proactive and perceptive approach
