Auckland War Memorial Museum is seeking a skilled Museum Conservation Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and stability of objects during planned redevelopment works.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Surveying the condition of collections being decanted from galleries
  2. Contributing to the planning and prioritisation of gallery object decants and storage relocations
  3. Undertaking conservation and stabilisation of objects

The ideal candidate will have a degree in materials conservation and a minimum of two years' experience in conservation. They will also have up-to-date knowledge of current professional thinking around Preventive Conservation and excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
